CEO vision

CEO behind Raw1 Journey

I was always the “perfect” student—the one who aced exams and won accolades. With straight A’s in high school and college, I was set to follow the traditional path, one dictated by expectations rather than passion. After graduating, my parents strongly influenced my decision to take up law, a “safe” and respectable choice.

But deep down, I knew something was missing. That’s when a surprising new idea—a minimalist glove for fitness—planted a seed of inspiration that changed everything. Little did I know then that this moment of curiosity would reroute my entire career trajectory.

By 2012, I had started law school, but my heart wasn’t in it. My passion for fitness and weightlifting consumed me, and I couldn’t ignore a problem I knew I could solve—calluses and grip strength during workouts.

What began as a personal need transformed into a mission to create something new for the fitness world. I took a leap, placing my legal career on hold for a year to dedicate myself to building the minimalist gloves. That year taught me more about ownership and growth than any classroom could.

Stepping into uncharted territory was terrifying but exhilarating. I finally had something that was mine—no professors, no parents, no rules—just me taking action to bring my vision to life.

This leap wasn’t just about creating gloves. It became a transformational period of self-discovery and growth that aligned with the fundamental principles of self-acceptance and courageous action in life. Here’s what I learned along the way:

  1. Ownership of My Life

For the first time, I was charting my own course. No external expectations. No restrictions. I realized the true value of taking initiative and stepping away from the roles others had set for me.

  1. The Pursuit of Self-Improvement

The project demanded every ounce of focus, which also pushed me to better myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. This wasn’t just about fitness improvement—it became a commitment to living with intention and becoming better each day.

  1. Freedom From Approval

I stopped worrying about how others perceived my new path. The opinions of others no longer hindered my ability to contribute positively to society. Solving a real problem added purpose to my life, and I found a sense of meaning outside societal validation.

  1. Re-prioritizing My Time and Energy

I naturally detached from unproductive distractions like endless TV, sports, and social media. Instead, I funneled my energy into growth. The so-called “logos” of mainstream brands like Nike and Adidas suddenly didn’t appeal to me anymore. I had outgrown their identity and realized there wasn’t a brand for the person I was becoming—a person pursuing relentless self-improvement.

As I grew through this process, I began shaping a bigger vision—one that extended beyond fitness gloves. I wanted to build something that wasn’t just another logo-stamped product but a meaningful brand with a purpose.

I envisioned a brand for people who, like me, wanted to improve every aspect of their lives—physically, mentally, and spiritually. RAW1 isn’t about influencers flaunting gear. Instead, it’s about giving real, tangible value to our community of self-improvers.

We focus our resources on sharing meaningful content, building a supportive community, and designing minimalist yet impactful fitness products. Our mission has evolved into helping others unlock their potential and become the strongest versions of themselves.

RAW1 was born not as a brand but as a belief—that those willing to take full ownership of their lives can break barriers and push limits. Every product, every post, every effort we make is rooted in this belief.

It’s not about shortcuts. It’s not about excuses. It’s about focus, commitment, and self-improvement. For me, RAW1 is more than just a company. It’s a reflection of the 13 years of lessons I’ve learned as I built my life on courage, effort, and growth—and now, it’s my way of helping you build yours.
